"The Curse of Chalion" (two paintings: windmill scene -- Cazaril head-shot)

This two paintings are for/dedicated to amanuensis1 because she/he (?) got me into this mess. :) She told me that the way I drew Remus and Tonks reminded her of Cazaril and Betriz from " The Curse of Chalion". I had no clue what she was talking about so I read the summary of the book, thought it was pretty cool, got the book, and read it over the weekend. And I truly loved it.

I'm sure a lot of you have already read the book, and know how cool it is, but I was totally ignorant about its existence, and I'm still ecstatic about it. :)
The one thing that I enjoyed the most (aside from Cazaril) is that the story is set in Spain Chalion -- the Spanish references create a slightly different medieval world in my head, and I'll probably be drawing a lot of it.

So, anyway, these are two paintings, one is when Cazaril is inside the windmill and the other is just a portrait of him (any similarities with Lupin are not a coincidence :D ). I don't think I'll be focusing too much on the characters though, I will most likely be doing some more environment/production paintings of regular shots.

And again, thank you so much amanuensis1 for the intro to this awesome story. :)

EDIT: Cazaril is supposed to have grey hairs only in his beard, but in the drawing it looked odd (he looked like a Thundercat or something). So he got grey hair in his head also. :)
