I'm just so glad to finally have a doctor who's actually interested in finding out what's really wrong, rather than just guessing. Also, when we talked about my bad periods, he believed me when I told him that birth control pills have a terrible affect on me. ~ded from surprise~
That is *everything*. hugs Although I think I've finally found [pills that don't make me suicidally depressed and bleed like a fountain every day, provided I take them at *exactly* the same time - quarter of an hour late and ugh, TMI everywhere by nightfall. I'm cautiously optimistic, remembering that some others were okay the first month or so and then went to hell...
It wasn't all bad. The woods were beautiful, we saw a few deer, our horses behaved well and it was nice just to have a change of scenery. Not to mention that it was a real learning experience for all of us, and not entirely in a negative way. Sharif's slowly starting to lose his fear of water, and he realized that yes, he can move around with saddlebags on, and no, they're not going to bite him. Also, he and Rippy recovered a lot faster than we did.
The problem I had with the pills was that they either made me suicidal, throw up all the time, or suicidal because I was throwing up all the time. Also, ten days of period. Not fun. So yes, a doctor who knows what he's doing and is a good listener is a wondrous thing indeed. And I still find it amazing that I found out more on the first visit than I did in three years going to the other doctors.
