I don't think you're being snarky (says Ms. Snarky McBitchersen). There are people I followed on Twitter for a bit and then decided that I didn't like reading them, so I stopped. What's the worst thing that can happen, they stop following me?

And to be honest, my Twitter is so vapid I wonder why people want to follow me at all, lol. princess_design, if you're interested in the nonsense; not offended if not :)

Still don't have an Old Spice icon...I always think I don't need one and then I see yours, lol.

Yeah I think I just need to stop following her. I have had her on my list, and haven't been bothered much, but her prolifically DULL Oscar commentary (HOW DO YOU DO THAT. SERIOUSLY. It is the easiest event to snark at ffs) really riled me up the other day. I logged on to like, 90 dull-ass tweets from her.

Oh, I'll def add you!

and lol seriously, I'll be using this icon long after it's probably passe in the US. The fact that I never see the ad unless I look for it specifically online means it's not going to get played out for me anytime soon. (I will, however, probably go to a different default icon soon)

yar. Blogging isn't as bandwagon-trendy as it was with the younger age group, but it still seems to be popular, depending on the subject. Cooking, crafts, programming, really anything with someone actually doing something and wishing to illustrate it= good for a blog. Whinging about being a shit mum and wanting people to pay you for it = crap regardless of the medium. :D

Last I read, companies etc were still looking for a way to cash in on the likes of Twitter. This, and the fact that so many of these mummy blogs are still able to get sponsors, either through popularity, or pimping out positive 'reviews' of (free) products, seems to have added to the longevity of blogs. (seriously if you want to nerd out and chat on this subject I'm happy to!)

I don't really tweet. I don't even remember why I subscribed originally. I've got an app for Firefox that gets updates automatically, so I do check it often. A couple of friends back home tweet semi-regularly, and I enjoy Stephen Fry + the fake MrsStephenFry's updates. :D
