...and I haven't slept yet, but I thought I'd spam my flist one more time before I vanish off the face of the interweb. With this: it's a new header which I intend to stick up on my lj. And, for once, I'm kinda happy with the way it came out! ^_^'

Since it's all shmoopy I had to suggest the differences between Charles & Erik using colour - hence ( Read more... )

Dude, you picked my FAVORITE sonnet ever. I always loved that one when i read it the first time in high school. I was one of the ones that didn't run screaming from Shakespeare at that age. i LOVED it. I loved it since we went through Romeo & Juliet the first time when i was 13.

Really, it does work with them, entirely to well.

oyasumi nasai and ohaiyo! (good night and good morning!)

Hah! I was one of those ones, too! *In fact, I once got a round of applause from my English class for my Lady Macbeth-LOL!* XD T'was the way I said 'but SCREW your courage to the sticking place-!?!' *facepalm*

I reread the sonnets t'other day, and it was tempting to use one of the first eighteen [you know, the ones addressed to the mystery young man] but really, 116 was crying out for it. ^_^

*omg, good night + good morning looks so much prettier that way than in Welsh!* ^_^

I'd have to dig up my old sonnet book. I'm hoping i still have it somewhere, or haven't lost it in the last 3 moves i made. -_-x

I had to memorize 116 for my english lit course in 11th grade(i was 15 that year). Teacher was an ass, but the class material was actually good. We read Macbeth that year too, though no one really was noted for any one part. But i remember going avidly over the sonnets, and they've stayed with me ever since.

Yes, japanese is pretty isn't it? Part of the reason i love the language is the flow of it. The complexity is as much of a challenge is reading Shakes can be. I only know enough to get myself in trouble at the moment. I'll eventually get some formal training. But for now? I have a few basics down at the least.

(stupid thing. there, all edited)

I don't know a single word of Japanese, sad to say, but I kind of prefer it that way - language always sounds so much more musical when meaning isn't getting in the way. ^_^

Other things that happened in my English class at school: reading Dylan Thomas, and me playing an old sailor called Captain Cat [which everyone thought was HIlarious. idiots.] and having to do monologues about his frequent visits to prostitutes. >_<. *FACEPALM* Yeah... can't say I nailed that role, if I'm honest.
