[Ever since Bil/Catherine/whatever told him that the sword Guy lost would probably be returned, Luke checked the weapon shop every day in the hopes of finding it. The days he didn't find it were met with a disheartened sigh, half-hearted lingering to check out the rest of the weapons, then wandering back home. He remained hopeful, though, always ( Read more... )

[Tear is pleasantly surprised to hear from Luke when she checks the journal, taking some much needed rest in her room after a long day. Her voice is tired, but has a hint of happiness nonetheless.]

Things could have gone more smoothly, but it's all right now.

[And the other special girl he's looking for! Luke smiles and lets out a quiet sigh in relief, then settles a little further to talk to her more comfortably.]

I'm just glad to hear you're okay. Actually, you sound kind of tired... [... Well, obviously, she'd just been fighting hard and all. Luke seems to realize that as soon as the sentence leaves his mouth, as his smile falls away in favor of rolling his eyes and running a hand through his hair.] ... Sorry, that was a stupid thing to say.

Don't worry about it. [She isn't even making an attempt to cover it up, it would probably be fruitless if she did try. Right now she's sitting down, resisting the call to lie down and sleep in her current clothing.]

What about you and the rest of the village? How are things faring there?

[Might as well talk about something that doesn't have to do with the war and all.]

It's been pretty much the same... It's kind of boring without you guys here.

Is it? I hope you're not giving Guy too much trouble, then. [She knows what it's like to deal with bored replicas.]

That would depend on what you've done the past several days. [That was her attempting to tease you, Luke. She's gotten a little better about it, right? 8|]

[He's not sure whether he likes the teasing or the seriousness better. 8|] I haven't done anything! You make it sound like I blew up the house or something.

Do I...? [Perhaps she went too far, that wasn't what she meant to imply. It'd be very worrisome if he blew up the house.]

In all seriousness, what have you been doing these past days?

aaah sorry, work kicked my butt. D| cakeblocked March 10 2011, 00:37:09 UTC
Not a lot. I've been looking at the weapons shop a lot and keeping in touch with people on the battlefield... [Well, just one. But that begs the question:]

Say, did you turn any weird colors on the first day?

no worries, it's okay. ^^ seleniahymn March 10 2011, 06:38:15 UTC
Weird colors? I heard that it was one of the side effects the extra draftees went through, but I didn't experience any of them myself. [Unless she simply wasn't aware of it.]

Oh... okay. [Man. It'd be kind of cool if she turned like. Blue or something.

... And, of course, he has to imagine this.

And laugh quietly.]

[Blinking, did she say something wrong in her answer?] What's so funny?

N-Nothing, nothing! It's just... can you imagine turning blue? Or pink?

[... Dammit Luke. Now she's trying not to laugh.] I... suppose changing color would be preferable to some of the other symptoms.
