Puppies!

Chelsey, our oldest dog, is a runt chocolate lab.

RD (or RedDog) and Alfalfa are our two goldens.  They are a year old and still completely full of themselves.

Horsies!

Here is the whole group, minus the stallion.  Bess, Johnny, Dixie, Belle, and Bonnie - from left to right.

Johnny, who will be 2 months old in June, and his mom, Dixie.

I've got 2 old goldens, and they drive me mad...LOL. And a small terrier, also old, part scotty, who keeps me saner.

What keeps me sane?

Researching. (That should, by itself, warn you that I am an oddball.)

History. Particularly the history of everyday life.

Fiber Arts, especially recreating historical articles or using historical techniques. Spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, sewing.

Costuming (at least researching it. Sometimes I actually sew something).

Science Fiction

Folklore.

Music (I have broad and eclectic tastes in this. My playlist would drive some folks crazy).

Writing poetry.

And last, but not least, snarky, punny humour.

Well, you did ask.

I laugh and smile at the antics of the Puppies every day. Today I found muddy foot prints on the hood and roof of my Prius. Part of me wanted to yell at them. The rest had to laugh at what a good time they MUST have been having.

That should, by itself, warn you that I am an oddball.

hmmmm...They all look perfectly normal to me!

I just got done reading a book on the Plague in Medieval Europe. The last few chapters discuss how the plague hit in multiple waves in China and Japan - even giving dates for a number of them.

If I were a writer I think I would write a story where the Inutachi are come to an area where the bubonic plague is just starting or has just run through it...but I'm not. :)
