To be fair, Toonami's death has been dragged out since about 2006.
They made a valiant effort, but you can only do so much when all you do is show Naruto filler, Ben10 reruns, and whatever 22-minute card game ad they have to hock that season.
Weep for Toonami yes, but hold your [as] close as well. Unless they get new anime soon, they lose more than half their shows in 2009.
I am hoping they don't screw up any worse with [AS]. It seems Cartoon Network is trying to change formats to something closer to Nickelodeon (with live action shows, etc.). It's kinda funny that they seem to want to move away from anime when it seems like anime is getting more well known and more popular.
