So Matthew's wife, Amy, was pregnant.  (Matthew of the wedding from October.)  We were all kinda excited about it, and my aunt especially, since it'd be her first grandkid

Yes! I didn't mean like, not enough as in one wants to write a ten-page letter, or anything, it's just sorta more heartfelt to write a note on your own, when one is equipped, vocabulary-wise, to do so.
