Hope you heal up fast. D: I remember when my sister got stepped on and the pain from that, forget an actual kick!

It is actually infinitely less painful than when the Thoroughbred stepped on my big toe and nearly broke it, I have to say. I was in pretty crazy amounts of pain when that happened, and so far as long as I don't try to bend my knee or walk around, it doesn't really hurt. So I've just been chilling on the couch! :P

And omgosh. How'd you find out Sage is a boy?

I had the vet take enough blood to run the test, since she was taking blood anyway and it wasn't much blood that they needed. I figured it'd just be nice to know!

Sage is a superbly androgynous name, I don't think you will have to worry about him being teased. (:

Where did you get kicked?! You aren't kidding when you say that you are lucky to get away without a fracture, yeouch! I am glad you are fairing well.

Right in the kneecap! Which makes me double lucky that I recoiled a bit and didn't, I think, get the full force of his sideways kick. AND I neither cried nor, most importantly, cursed like a sailor, those being my general reactions to horse-related injuries.
