Oh my gosh! *happy dance*

I suspect that cats travel interdimensionally. There's no other explanation for their ability to disappear and reappear.

I completely and heartily agree. They appear and disappear and reappear in ways that have no other explanation!

Oh, I'm SO glad! :D Cats are such little weirdos... Our girl cat likes to climb up into the space between the ceiling of our garage and the floor above. Sometimes she'll hide up there for quite a while, especially in the winter when she can curl up near heating ducts. I wonder if Pepper's found a similar hideaway?

I think Pepper must have found an indoor hiding spot... our house is big enough that there are plenty, especially in the basement, which has always been her domain anyway. There are a lot of closets and a lot of nooks and crannies down there.

yay!!!!!! I'm so happy that she came back (whichever strange dimension she was in)...

Once I couldn't find Helo when I came back after being gone for a weekend. He's the kind of cat who ALWAYS comes if you call, even if he's napping somewhere, and he wouldn't come, and he wouldn't come even when I shook the food. I was terrified he'd gotten out while I was gone. Eventually I came back downstairs (after looking in every nook and cranny) to find him downstairs blinking sleepily. Who knows where he'd gone!

That's just it... when you DO finally find them, they have this half-asleep look like, "What? I've been right here all along."

Cat. *shaking my head*

Hear, hear. And they choose the most inopportune times to go missing or get sick. *sigh*

Yay! (although it looks as if it was your fault from her expression)

Oh, it's definitely all our fault. Whatever it is.
