This is a snippet I wrote in 2012, and I remember in the comments issuing a bit of a dare to rs9 about illustrating it... and she did! So here's a reposting, complete with her wonderful artwork:

That. I have not seen this before. This is so PERFECT! I was giggling insanely by the end and that dribble of water... omg! I was thinking just before that line that Aragorn, for someone pushing 90 (or older at this point) still has that youthful romantic side working for him.

Considering he lived to be, what, 210?, he's definitely in the prime of life when he and Arwen finally wed, and with a LOT of lost years to make up for. *g*

Strange, how such a short story can turn the day in a happy one. I'm happy now... lovely, adorable,creating such a moody picture (both of you!), which fits the story perfectly!! I don't know if I'm cold or hot now - can I be both?
