Actually, just fog on the pasture (no one's buried there that I know of)....

Lovely atmospheric photos:)

As for the plotbunny, I have a Yule Challenge story to finish first. I may be willing to be distracted by Rangers once that is done...

Thank you! It's really hard to capture foggy landscapes on film, I've discovered. Some post-editing helps.

And yay! *gives you luxury bunny hutch to keep the plot bunny in until you're ready*

Although of course I've already done a Barrow-downs ghost story for Arador, but I'm sure I can come up with something new (and I really must stop thinking about it now...)

Here's a wee snippet for you!

Aragorn shook his head, wondering if a wight had cast a spell on him unawares. Singing! Someone was singing in the Barrow Downs! Listening more closely, a smile slowly lit his grim features. That voice could belong to only one person. So old Bombadil was trailing the hobbits as well? Just as he had realized, to his horror, that the Shirefolk may have been captured, and he was about to attempt rescue, Tom’s bright song filled the air. Now he heard the voices of hobbits and relaxed, knowing they were safe again.... for now. Tom would no doubt set them back on the road to Bree. Greatly relieved, Aragorn drew back into the fog.

*beams* Thank you for the inspiration. I just realized I haven't written ANYthing in nearly three months.

The fog had crept in thick as cotton during the night coating the forest in moisture and filtering the pale morning sun with haunted mistings ( ... )

And it's been like this nearly all day! It's a terrific day for writing creepy stories, but alas, we're tearing apart the house getting ready for new carpet to be installed in the bedroom Monday. I would *much* rather be creeping through the fog. (But it will be nice to have new carpet.)
