A weekend getaway...

We headed to St. Louis this past weekend, to take in a St. Louis Cardinals game (they won, I was shocked) and just toodle around as we visited my sister. She'd been unable to come down here as she usually does in the spring because we've had so much rain there was always a danger the main highway that connects our area with hers could have shut ( Read more... )

I adopted Pippin when she was two, so I've never experienced the "chaos, however joyful" of a puppy! Please keep us updated on the Quest.

Those are lovely scenes. LOL, I'd be wide-eyed at the merchandise (and prices) in "real" stores myself!

I will most definitely keep everyone updated. I'm a bit nervous this morning, wondering if this puppy we'll see tonight is "the one," and if it is, yikes, life is going to be fraught and sleepless for a number of weeks! I have to keep my eyes on the end goal of a lovely companion for the next decade and a half, though, and not worry about things like "Oh gosh, this means we'll have to start fencing off the Christmas tree again!" XD

I do feel a bit sorry for the kitties. They've been enjoying the faux peace of "no more doggos in the house ever." XD

I love the idea of posh towels. I like expensive bedding too. It's one of life's pleasures.

It's not the most expensive pleasure, either, which makes it nice. He's also a fan of luxury sheets. I've learned through the long years of our marriage that fabric is Very Important to him. XD

Getting a puppy! How amazing and awesome and your life will be filled with doggy kisses and accidents and training and love. I adore that shot of the ducks, so peaceful and lovely. I'm not sure I've ever even walked into a Pottery Barn, but I'm sure your hubby will enjoy his bath towel.

This was the first time I've ever been in a Pottery Barn, that I can remember at least. I may have been in one years and years back, but I've slept since thing.

Life will definitely be put in a bit of an upheaval, for the short term. But we're... or I should probably say *I'm* prepared. I don't have much on my slate for the next several weeks, until some doctor appointments in August, none of which will require me to be out of the house for more than a couple hours during this intense "young puppy bonding/housebreaking/training" phase.

Oh, what lovely pictures! That sounds like a quietly delightful way to spend a weekend. :D It is always so funny to me, the very different areas in which different people will turn out to be extremely particular... and hey, as such things go, towels are a remarkably practical and low-key one to go for!

Best wishes for the puppy hunt! Very much looking forward to those updates. ^^

It was such a nice and relaxing weekend, one that feels like a year ago now that the puppy chaos has started. LOL I need another weekend away!!! (Not really, but man, I am sore in places I haven't been sore in a long time, from bending and squatting and all the calisthenics involved in keeping a puppy out of trouble. :P)
