Seven Deadly Sins

Apr 29, 2009 00:26

On Saturday (4/25), I hosted a dinner for an unfortunately small group of friends in my kitchen. I say unfortunately small because in truth, I wish that I'd been able to invite everyone I know. In the end, I opted to invite people that, for the most part, I'd never had over for dinner before. While I love the my apartment and my kitchen for what ( Read more... )

I'm seriously impressed. I enjoyed the slideshow on Flickr. And I still have yet to eat gold.

Thanks! The gold doesn't really taste like anything, but it was nifty. :)

The problem with that is that once you do one meal like this and post it on a website, people expect you to keep doing more!

Wow! I am so impressed! In awe, really. I love to cook and try new things, but I am nowhere near the level you are. You should be a professional chef!

Thanks! We talked about the professional thing at dinner on Saturday night, and I've thought about it a lot (like a whole honkin' lot). What I keep coming back to is that a) the hours suck ass, and so does the pay for 90% of the people working in the industry, and 2) I worry that if it's something that I had to do on a regular basis, that I fear I'd lose a lot of the passion that I have for it.
