Your Highness,

Should you or your people have use of my sword, I am yours to call. Failing that, I wish this war is as swift and clean as such a thing can be.

With fond thoughts,
    Doul.

Uther Doul,

I would call on you, then, and we may speak of it at greater length in the Moor.

Your friend,

A reply appears, it is penned on folded paper in a thin and quirky (but confident) script.

Lady Nuala Airgetsnáithe of the Deepmoor, hello

Your writing is very beautiful and your gift if very kind - I will treasure and care for it. Thank you. I am sorry to hear of your troubles, war is a regretful thing and it is my hope that it will be done with before it has the opportunity to claim what is not its due.

Looking out for brighter times,
the signature looks suspiciously like a cat built from letters more than an actual signature but there you go

Grif's reply shows some evident effort, since it is hand-written (block letters, save for the signature, the style sparse but legible, as of someone not used to doing it much other than the occasional note) with ink and paper of modest quality.Princess Nuala,

Thank you for the gift. They are as beautiful as they were unexpected. I appreciate the thought, and regret that I haven't gotten to know you or your brother well enough to think of anything suitable to give you in return. I hope things are well with you both, and if you ever need my help, you know how to reach me.

Sincerely,
--Grif
