Yeah, isn't that pretty? They read that on WWL earlier, and it was like, hmmm. Interesting.
Of course, all the people who've "rode these things out before" are safe and snuggled up in their beds.
Dad spoke to a state trooper today. They have 10,000 (yes, ten thousand) body bags at the ready, and are hoping it will be enough.

Christ! You know, some people won't listen to reason, they listen to that little voice... which sometimes saves you, and mostly gets you killed.
I hope that those that made a conscious decision to "ride it out" are in the former group, and not the latter.

They ordered 10,000 when Ivan was predicted to hit.
Then afterwards the mayor of NOLA denied it. But my friend worked at the Red Cross and saw the receipt.
