I had thought about using my normal lunchtime writing slot to discuss this whole “post your brassiere color” thing going around Facebook, and what it says about the changes with respect to modesty in society. Maybe you missed the bra BURNING actions of the 1960s? By their standards, telling the color is pretty tame....

Perhaps. But by the 1970s, it was a bit different. Further, I don't think girls advertised their bras if they were wearing them (at least I don't remember that).

In the 1960s, there wouldn't have been much point, as brassieres only came in white or black, unless you bought your lingerie at a hooker store.

My point (which, of course, wasn't the main thrust of this post) was that back when I was in high-school (the 1970s), girls weren't showing bras or whale-tails, and guys weren't wearing pants so low that the boxers were showing. That just wasn't the style, even with mod-clothes.
