My most vigorous recent memories of Jay are the constant low key and funny battles the two of you had over the Haggadah (sp?) at Passover. Jay summarized and wanted to say "Moses got us out of Egypt. We'll never forget. Let's eat!" and you had your beautiful, well-laid documents that he would try to edit down every time you passed the reading to him. It was a loving battle, no rancor, just a way for him to tease you. I'll bet that you were his favorite son-in-law.
Take care of your wife and daughter - you've been down this bitter, sad road twice and you've seen the cracked pavement and the potholes up close and personal, where they've only seen them from a distance. Call me if you need to talk about things you don't want to share with them right now.
Jay was a good man, and he will be most sorely missed.
This is not one of my happy post-chemo days - I've got some bad, zofran-resistant nausea going on, so you really aren't going to want me in your house until the urge to hurl goes down. But I'll have one phone or another on at all times so you or the gfg can reach me.
