Yet Another Survey For “Wait Wait”

I’m surprised no one has written about this yet, but CNN is highlighting a survey that is sure to show up on Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me. According to a survey done by Harris Interactive for Intel, 46% of the women questioned said they'd be willing to forgo sex for two weeks, rather than give up their Internet access. Men? It's not hard to agree to forgo sex rather than the internet. I'm not getting any sex, anyway.

yeah, I find the whole thing to be BS. How many people do you know who actually have sex even once every two weeks to start with?? I'm with a steady woman for years and I'm lucky if it's once a month! Maybe, MAYbe ten percent of the people I know have sex that regularly -- and I'm no hermit, I'm in the music business. Geez. I wish.

I, for one, use my net access far more often than I have sex. So the survey results make sense in that context.

I think it also matters how long you are asking people to give things up for. If you're talking, say, up to a year, I'd give up sex. But, if you meant for the rest of my life, I'd live without the net.

Exactly. Anyone who has sex as much as I use the interwebs (or is even physically capable of doing so) would need professional help!
