As today is Talk Like A Pirate Day, I'd like to do some talking about two groups of pirates: Captain John and his wench Sarah, and Captain Barak and his first mate, Salty Joe. Both of these teams are campaigning to run our ship of state; they claim they can right it from its current floundering condition, and sail us into safe and secure waters.

Arrr, the me first mate Joe surely has the passion, if you've heard him encourage the crew t'fight on. As for being of the duodenum, me thinks it is Captain John that has the expertise, for sometimes he behaves like quite an arse.

As we Italian male-model-romance-novel-speaking pirates know, the passion of the duodenum is one that leads to grief as well as joy. Sometimes it is the joy of tiramisu. Sometimes it is the rage of too many sausages. But always, there is gastrointestinal passion.
