I'm surprised at the claim that "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" didn't get played at the 7th inning stretch until the 1970's. Admittedly, too few people sing along to it nowadays (and they don't play it at Camden Yards, which is my only real complaint about that ballpark), but I assumed it had caught on by the 1940's.
