These people are hilarious. Check out the Church of Reality. Now that is something I can get down with.

um, the holy TV show? are they for real? apparently they are since they're getting 501c status from the IRS :) great read.

Yeah it was fun to read. Wasted some time and gave me a hardy chuckle. I know, 501c status? That's nuts. I'm tempted to toss them a couple bucks just because. Wait, can I create a religion and get 501c status and then use the money to pay off my student loans? That would be sweet.

I've thought of making a site about how I don't want to be poor anymore and asking people to donate a dollar to my student loan fund. I would only need like 50,000 people to kick in a dollar. Really I just want to pay off my UVM one. That's the evil one with like 8% interest and they won't let you consolidate it. That'd only be like 12,000 people.

Maybe if I offered free source code and asked people to donate a few bucks if they like what I'm doing to pay off that loan. It might work.

i think if you offered code and advertised that you were taking donations to pay off your student loans people would definitely give. get yourself a paypal account :)
