I still find this painful to watch. Melodramas were never my thing. Still I like it better the second time around. It's harder to pick out the hitchcock influenced moments, and it's not really clear until toward the end with the character of Jack Favell. During all of that world/class war stuff, you know the only thing Hitchcock cared about was whether or not that painting of Rebecca looked sufficiently creepy enough.
