Vid Recs: A brief refresher course
It's been a long Hiatus so here is a very short list of vid recs old and newish, spanning all three years that should serve to remind you all what this show 'Supernatural' is about. :-D

Sweetest Perfection:Supernatural Season 1 by HopeonaRope aka angstslashhope if I recall correctly
An awesome summary of Season 1. This was made during that first hiatus, when everything was up in the air and no one knew if the Impala everyone would survive. I lost count of how often I watched this vid that summer.
I Woke Up in a Car by ringwench who has recently mirrored her vids on YouTube, looks like!
Remember first Season Sam? This is a vid about Sam getting back in touch with his home in first season, the Impala and all that rides within it. Ringwench made this at the end of first season (note the end dedication) and it was one of the first fanvids I ever watched, and it's still awesome as a window into who Sam is.

Her summary: "The boys pay a visit to Missouri and she reads them their horoscopes." Silly and very well done vid to a silly song, and fantastic.

Season 1 Sam and Dean, all raw and spiky at each other after the whole Stanford thing. Fantastic and to me as a non-vidder, technically fascinating. This video made me buy two Linkin Park CD's and I don't regret it at all.

This is a fantastic vid, right up there with Sweetest Perfection for putting you into the action and getting your adrenaline up. Covers season 1 and up to 2.04.
Dean's Overture by dragonfly011
A silly vid with material from all three seasons and some of the blooper reels covering the surface basics of Dean. Or the basics of the surface of Dean that he wants people to see.
The Great Round Robin Vidding Experiment 2 by *takes a deep breath* Hay1ock, phoenix39, Loki, Acme54,Juicy1111, Ish, Crystalsc, Gentlesideoffury, Dark-Huntress and Starrylizard *faints*
This video is a collaboration by 10 different vidders and does a fantastic job of capturing the Winchesters at their most anguished and desperate. A very successful experiment! (Contains footage from all aired seasons and spoilers for the Season 3 finale.)
AreYouWatchingSN is two people who have taken it upon themselves to make the ads the CW should be airing for the show. There are a lot of good ones, many are fantastic. Are You Watching Supernatural - Promo #54 "Keep Fighting" is one of my favourites and does a damn fine job of summarizing the primary line of Season 3, as well as revisiting the finale and getting that adrenaline rush going again. Also, it's got music by Nightwish.

And in closing a general overview of the core of what the Winchesters do. Saving people, hunting things. With a beat. Contains material from all seasons. Kicks. ASS.
This concludes the refresher course into what 'Supernatural' is and where we left off on the Season 3 finale. There will not be a test. ;-D
(As a side note I find interesting: Fanvids have made me buy more music in the last three years than I'd bought or been given my entire life previously. I've bought the music from almost all of these, including the song by the semi-obscure Australian(?) string quartet. This is not counting music I bought because of the show itself. That's about the same amount again.)
