So.Freakin'.Adorable! Sammy spitting out the pickle and hitting John had me laughing outloud! But I love that John just sort of rolled with it because Dean was doing his best to "feed Sammy". Too cute!

I'm of the "John was trying his best" camp at the moment regarding the boys' upbringing. Sam and Dean as adults are so cute, they couldn't be anything but adorable as little kids.

That cracked me up SO MUCH. I loved the way you described John's view of it, with Dean feeding Sammy like he was a baby robin. Particularly because I've *seen* how much baby birds eat. Also, the visual of Little Dean as a harried daddy robin desperately trying to keep up with his offspring's voracious appetite was hilarious. Particularly because clearly Sammy *isn't* a baby robin, and doesn't want to eat absolutely everything.

But sad as well, because of Little Dean trying so hard to be a good big brother and fixating on what the adults said with a childlike lack of proportion. Sharing their food is a big deal for small children.
