That's beautiful - lovely imagery. I've been reading a lot of angst today, so this feels like a cool breeze. The line "Up in the cool green branches, sun-ripened peach musk permeated." has caught my mind.

As soon as I read this I thought about a jam story I'd read and loved about the wee!chesters. Then I thought, wait a minute...didn't...yep. It was your story! I can't imagine John letting them bring peaches in the car after the jam.

Hee.

This was lovely, though. Nice mood in the writing. I can imagine them doing things like this. It would be one of those things that made them stronger as a family but even more isolated from real life.

Thanks!

Yep, that was me!

I can't imagine John letting them bring peaches in the car after the jam.

Well they aren't 4 and 8 anymore so they are less likely to make a mess since they know they'll be the ones cleaning the car by themselves. That and as soon as they get out of sight of the orchard, the peaches are going in the trunk. ;-)

It would be one of those things that made them stronger as a family but even more isolated from real life.

It's part of the fascination with the Winchester family, I think, that they are so isolated from the normal world and very much a private society of three. *nods*

So that was poetry to me--wonderful evocative images. Very good stuff. I can smell peaches:)

Thank you! I haven't stretched my poetry brain in a long while, so this was a bit different.

Always happy to make your morning more tolerable.

Speaking of which, I'm about to be very late if I don't get going here. :-P

I think John wouldn't have had any problem with a bit of practical agrarian larceny.

"It's not theft, Sam; it's requisitioning. Creative requisitioning. Now go help your brother."
