Boo for bad continuity between comics and episodes

Actually, I kind of like that the show and comic continuities don't jive given that the timeline in the comic is kind of impossible. Show trumps comic anyday.

YOU CAME UP WITH THE SAME THEORY AS ME ABOUT ELKINS!

Yay! I can't believe I didn't recognize him right away, but I got distracted by the Quincy vibe.

Okay that journal...is it just me or is it different? Cuz it does not look like the same journal.

Maybe they put a new cover on it after the wreck? It bears investigation.

"Shoot the hellhounds" Yeah in my mind I took that as shoot Ed and Harry...I was confused for a bit.

Hahahahahhah! Oh that's awesome! :-D

"Wonder if that tickles" You are a sick twisted human....

...thanks? I think? :-)

*envies your Google-fu and bookmarks pages*

How do you know what paint thinner tastes like.....

...by accident? Involving a badly-surfaced Viking drinking horn, and... Anyway, it's a long sordid tale, and best left to the mists of time. ;-)

It was 42 minutes?! AWESOME! Go, product placement!! (Assuming that's the explanation.) I don't care if they name-drop all over the place, if it gets us more SHOW.

I *did* scratch my head over exactly how the Doc managed to do all that surgery on himself. Those of us who can't put sunscreen on our own backs would like to know how he manages to be that limber.

Well, given the 'Shove the head back in place' trick after Sam ran him over, maybe he just wrenches his own head around so he can see down the back and dislocated his shoulders so he can reach? Or burrows through from the front?

I still say he's got carpal tunnel from it.

Re: the budget cuts, apparently the CW cut the budget for every show it renewed EXCEPT Gossip Girl and they are paying enough to get Jennie Garth to be in the new show 90210. So every time we don't here the perfect classic rock song to accompany our boys we can thank GG and 90210.

I have great hopes for Rufus. Bela was supposed to be a person who knew things and sold things and had a different perspective on the world of the supernatural. She just didn't jell as a character, for me at least. Maybe they can keep the concept and transfer it to Rufus. Or maybe he will go the way of every hunter except Bobby and be killed off. Oh well, I can hope that he stays, because I liked him.

Good grief. Can we donate to the show's budget? Either by sending cash, or, I dunno, a case of electical tape or copy paper or something so they don't have to buy it and can spend more of the budget on the show? This is ridiculous. *kicks CW*

I have a combination of hope and nervousness over Rufus. Really though, I don't care if he ends up being adversarial to the boys. I just wanna keep him!

Oh my, this was GLORIOUS! I laughed and laughed and laughed. Those short witty observational comments are so DAMN funny. Nice to laugh like a loon on a Monday morning. And I just rewatched the episode before reading so it was fresh in my mind which made it even better. :) I can't wait to read your post-finale recap. \o/ for well thought out post episode thoughts!

Okay, I have read a LOT of summaries of this episode, for some reason (there's a lot of meta on it out there), but yours had me just about falling out of my chair laughing.

Seriously, I'm at work, reading this, with my hand clamped over my mouth to keep from laughing out loud.

OMG.

I'll go with Kripke over-writing the Doc Benton comic-canon, thanks.

I dunno how I missed Charlie the Unicorn and Candy Mountain in your Issue #4 commentary, but thanks for the link. I think. Oy.

And Cleveland Steamer...well, I did look it up. And not only do you not want to know, but combined with Dean's "Hey I'll try anything once" line... Dean? I don't want to know how you know, darlin'.

I loved, however, that we see Bobby doing his day job.

Totally agree that Sam is OFF THE RAILS in his own Sammy way. How could he ever think that this was a good idea? But he's so stubborn, so unwilling to back off on a decision once he's made it. Oh, SamThe other thing that is completely Mystery Spot effect was "How're you gonna stop me?" That moment was heart- ( ... )
