I don't remember if I posted about it when it happened, but the European Space Agency landed a probe (Philae) on a comet back last November, which was amazing considering it was like throwing a pea from Paris and landing it in the eye of the Statue of Liberty or something. It's an astonishing mission and already successful so this is gravy. I read somewhere that it's actually better that the probe went into hibernation and woke up now when the comet is closer to the sun and the sublimation is beginning, rather than staying awake and poking at the comet while it was still out in the dark. More stuff going on now!
