Reaction: Agents of Shield 2.02

Because my life sucks, I only just now had a chance to watch the second episode of season 2 of Agents of Shield. In case anyone is interested in my thoughts about it, here they are.

Yup. Lance is the head of STRIKE, the UK version of SHIELD, or will be..
And I love the Coulson/Talbot dynamic because they are so much alike!

Eek. I should have mentioned that I didn't Google for Lance myself because I was avoiding finding out anything about him outside of the TV series as it happens.

Very true about Coulson and Talbot. Not sure if we'll ever see them willingly working together toward a common goal, but they'd be unstoppable. :-)

Is it just me, or was that Raina making a kind of burn comment comparing Coulson to Garrett AKA the Clairvoyant?
It's not just you! It's me too. It's gotta be deliberate; it would be a shame if it weren't!

I too was tremendously relieved that May is in on Coulson's secret.

Mac is the new guy's name; it took me almost all episode to get it! I think they kept saying it, but I kept losing it because it's only one syllable. And because sometimes, I remember names for about .5 seconds before forgetting them again.

I am excited and enjoying the new season too.

MacFitz? FitzMac? Just doesn't have the same ring (and is also kind of redundant, isn't it?) Mac seems awesome, but given this is a Joss show, he's probably going to be evil or dead by the mid season hiatus. And they really do need to address what's going on with Simmons soon.

I was hoping to keep Mac! It's not entirely a Joss show-I thought the other two creators were supposed to be more heavily involved.

It's Joss's brother Jed and Maurissa Tancharoen though, and they seem to have a similar habit about characters, since I think they were mostly in charge last year and look at what happened to Ward and Fitz.

I do hope they keep Mac too though, he's awesome and seems like the 'glue' sort of character that's going to hold some of the team's aspects together as the rebuilding of Shield brings in new and potentially destabilizing stresses on top of the internal stresses already at play.

still haven't seen the end of Season 1 though I have it on order from HMV and will get it soon.
Not watching any of season 2 till then but did start watching The Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby-Doo last night :)

I really think you'll find there's some references in many episodes you'll get more out of in this series than I do, with your extensive comics background.
