I don't know how I missed this when it came out, but I did. Of course, I deliberately missed the episode because 1) Krissy never did anything for me (Krissy calls for help and only Sam answers. Sam goes to save Krissy's dad. Sam convinces the (whatever monster) to eat him and not Krissy's dad. Dean shows up because Sam is missing, not to help Krissy. Krissy thanks DEAN for all his help and never says bip to Sam who almost died. Yeah, not a Krissy fan) and 2) When I heard the plot I went meh and Caffienekitty can catch me up when she reviews. So go you!

I completely agree that if there is no body there is no death and even with a body it is 50/50. However that comes from years of watching soap operas, where the same logic applies. It has stood me in good stead all these years. Plus I liked Frank, so I rooting for him to come back.

Whereas this show sometimes even if there is a body, a pyre, a soul being ripped out, a ghost being sent off, there's still a change the character isn't entirely gone.

It wasn't Frank in the trailer--they cloned Sam & Dean from shower drain hair, if Frank was there they would have cloned him and got the info on S&D and wouldn't have needed Charley to crack his computer password.

And he leaves Sam hanging out in Mr. Rogers' neighbourhood too. Ha. Dean is a transparent transparent thing who is going to get his ass kicked going solo against a vampire nest, because this time, he's not a vampire.

LOL! Agree about Dean's transparency of character, but I have to admit I would not place bets against Dean going up against a vampire nest solo, solely based on the past year in Purgatory. There has to be SOME kind of hunting upside to that whole experience, right? Maybe? (and no, not factoring in a vamp friend -- I admit that's not going to be a factor for Dean in this kind of scenario.)

Of course, I have to admit I may be a bit distracted by Dean giving the kids the Lecture on Values for a Hunter -- SAVING PEOPLE, hunting things. It's not always about killing. (even though he's killed more than he can probably recap for us. *grin*)

True indeed.

It's not always about killing.

Also very very true.
