I loved this episode... if it wasn't for the fact that Dean and Sam didn't bat an eyelash when Henry mentioned angelic sigils, you could have stuck thi in season 2 or 3 and noone would have been the wiser!
But on that note, something did confuse the hell outta me: angel feathers.
I mean, Dean came in just after Henry skeddadled and said that an angel feather was missing from the trunk of the Impala... Since when did they even have a collection of angel feathers? Shouldn't we have at least known about them before this, as I take it they are kinda precious and how in the hell did Henry know to look in there for them? And how did the brothers get the feathers in the first place? Did they just get Cas to pluck out a handful?
No, Henry didn't know about the angel feathers, but he did know that Dean & Sam were hunters and there could be something useful in the truck of their car. Which turned out there was - Angel feathers. As to where/why, Castiel's trench coat was in the trunk and the feathers could have come from that. Or that is how Castiel has been tracking Sam & Dean. Maybe he has his feathers numbered and for just such an emergency. ;) Or can home in on his personal feathers.
As for Cas being able to track the feathers if they're his own? I like that idea. The writers certainly seem to have conveniently forgotten that the sigils on the brothers' ribs prevents any angel from finding them at all, and yet Cas found Sam just fine in "Torn and Frayed".
x_cat11 seems to have said what I would have said before I could. Castiel has been under a lot of stress lately too, he's probably shedding something fierce.
Henry would have been a great addition to the recurring guest roster. Still Supernatural, so dead characters could still come back. We don't know where his tie and tie pin got to...
It's a temperate rainforest climate in BC, so we have looooooads of 'mucky'. :-D
I really loved the episode, it did feel like earlier season so I need to read your recap. What do you mean by not teaching Henry to suck eggs?
I wish Henry survived. He was more interesting than 95% of other guest stars. Still as you said it's supernatural. They also didn't burn his body, just buried it.
The sucking eggs is from a common saying "don't teach your grandmother to suck eggs" meaning don't tell someone how to do something they already know, or don't try to do something to someone who could teach you a few things about doing it.
Henry would have been a cool addition, and there is always hope.

Hope they don't drop the ball with this story, as it actually feels like it's going somewhere.
Also. "Mucky"? I did not know Canadians used that word!

Yes, indeed. I am still hoping but they shouldn't kill him in the first place if they plan to use him later.
