Those camera angles were giving me the heebie jeebie vibes too. I was just waiting for Benny to whack Dean upside the head and offer him up or something.
I saw the thing about Dean tricking Sam with the phone on tumblr before I saw the episode. I'm thinking I should def avoid tumblr from now on until I've seen the ep. That place is a minefield.
1) I'm glad Show could surprise you. I was starting to think you're psychic :)
2) Yes: Ouch, very, very ouch.
3) My personal pet theory about Don returning from the dead at about the same time Dean pops out of purgatory: Cas's new handler whose name eludes me right now has something to do with it. Basically the tamer version of burning Jess on the ceiling to get Sam back into hunting.
4) Not a single tie in this episode. I think I'm going into withdrawal...
3. That would be a very interesting twist - after thinking about it I started to wonder if maybe Naomi wasn't an angel or that it was heaven she was zapping Castiel to. Castiel should recognize all the angel and everywhere in heaven - shouldn't he?
As mid-season cliffhangers go this may have been the weakest yet--sorry but I call 'em like I see 'em: --a desperate gambit where we witness the heroic deaths of Ellen and Jo,where Lucifer performs a spectacular spell raising Death himself, and where Lucifer takes a bullet from the Colt to the face and lives to snark about it--that's a cliffhanger. --shooting Bobby in the head --that's a cliffhanger. --killing Martin Creasor(a character they assasinated in this ep--he was a little cool and brave -considering- in the looneybin), and Sam confronting Amelia (dry toast meet tepid milk)--is not a cliffhanger.
Best things about the ep Dean, the atmosphere, the ever so slight tension involved in the Benny story (not a fan of his) and the 20 second preview of the next ep. Love this show (still present tense)and fingers firmly crossed hoping for better.
I don't get or watch the previews and try very hard not to know anything at all about them. Myself and several other people who read my reaction posts consider the previews spoilery, so please do not mention the previews here.
I am aware discussion of previews is considered spoilery which is why I didn't discuss it. Do you think my sayng I liked it better than most of this ep is spoilery. I like a lot of things better than I liked most of this ep; ice cream, cookies dancing,a good book, puzzles, at least 10 different musical genres and at least 150 or so other epidodes of this show.

Oh god avoid Tumblr, yes. I poke my head in there now and then for Sherlock stuff, but minefield is an excellent word for it.

2. Ouch indeed.
3. Hmm... An interesting theory.
4. They do have tie-free episodes now and then, though they are somewhat rare.

[This is what I infer.]You like it, so it likely advances plots and characters you prefer and not include things you don't like ( ... )
