They should have had a Thickets song in the episode.
I'm hanging on to the spoilers! The comment above refers entirely to my feelings at the end of 6x21. I was VERY UPSET about the mindwipe, and the general lack of communication. I love them all, but sometimes they're idiots.
Also, having Lovecraft be a prophet would have been awesome, though I liked what they did with him.
Also again, I kind of want to read the story where Dr. Visyak is The Rani :)
Just for the record, Cas did tell Dean that this is all about Raphael wanting to re-start the Apocalypse. I'm pretty sure it was in his first appearance. Dean just doesn't think dealing with Crowley to open Purgatory is an acceptable way to win. Since Balthazar did give Cas ALL of heaven's weapons and he admits that he has followers (I got the impression that heaven is pretty evenly split), Dean may well have a point. Especially now that he and we know that Cas absorbing all that power could kill half the planet (according to Balthazar) and restarting the Apocalypse could kill half the planet (according to last season), so right now Cas's plan is a wash as far as destruction of human life is concerned.
Dean does tend to get judgey when friends and family work with demons, so he is following his character here. He basically said the same thing in Levee to Sam about working with Ruby.
HOLY SHIT IT IS! IT'S H. P. LOVECRAFT!!! ASADFLKSJL! I DO NOT HAVE A STUNNED ENOUGH EMOTICON FOR THIS!!! I'M SO STUNNED I JUST NOW SPENT A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF TIME GAWPING LIKE A FISH AND WAVING MY HANDS RANDOMLY IN THE AIR OVER THE KEYBOARD NOT TYPING ANYTHING! LOVECRAFT!
Your geek-out glee is so adorkable! *twirls you*
-"Thank you. I wish this changed anything." *headdesk* God damn it. Dean, get your head out of your ass. Castiel, tell him why you hooked up with Crowley. Both of you go find out what's happened to Sam and then EVERYBODY HUG BEFORE I START KICKING BUTTS AROUND HERE! Gaaaaah!YES!!! EVERYONE SHOULD HUG IT OUT!!! Castiel would feel reassured that he hasn't broken things irrevokably with Dean, Dean would feel reassurred that Castiel ... well... actually, that's the problem. Dean *knows* Cas believes he is acting for the best -- he's seen that road traveled by Sam already with Ruby. Sam didn't listen worth a damn then, and... argh1!! Road to hell, all over again. Talking wouldn't change anything after all, I
