IIIIIIIIIIIII'm totally reading them. Series five has grown on me a lot since I watched it the first time through, so watching someone else watch it the first time through is terribly entertaining!
What do you mean, I'll sure be reading these! :) Eleven is fast becoming my favorite Doctor (although I admit I am still attempting to begin to catch up on Old Skool Who), and series 5, while it has its weaknesses, is just... amazing. So awesome.
The post-RTD series seems to be divisive in fandom for sure. It's taken a while to get up the nerve, but I'm willing to give the new guy a shot. I don't think anyone will bring the same depth to the role as Tennant did. His fan knowledge of the classic series really helped, I think.
I'll be very intrigued to see what you think after you watch some more eps. And there are other sorts of depth than angst. Not that Tennant only did angst, he's too good an actor for that, but... man, I can't, I'll spoil you. Shutting up now. Sorry. :)
See I think a lot of the ups and downs were put in there very deliberately, because even I was "grr arrgh" and then "oh!" and they so toy with you deliberately in my opinion. *g* Hope you enjoy it! I will be all spoiler free for ya!

Great characters, actors, visuals, scripts (well, most of the time) but to me there's this spark missing. I can't explain it, but the squee is gone.
Doctor Who will always hold a place in my heart though, and, woah, isn't Karen Gillian a babe? ;)

Go read this. Is little Amelia and the Doctor and as a bonus Jack! And Amelia is unflappable as always. Is perfect and honestly, makes me miss Jenny.
