Glad to hear your birthday is going swimmingly! I have Heart fo the Dragon but haven't read it yet. I actually just started a different SPN novel I can't remember the name of but have had for what seems like a year, at least. I like to read but can't seem to make myself do it! *threatens self*

I think the main problem with the novels is that they're being written by professional tie-in writers. Speed and quantity over quality and verisimilitude. :-P
