That thing that got Kripke'd

What the hell, here it is anyway, in unfinished state. I wrote this last Wednesday, but I'd been holding off on posting because I wanted to make it into fic and not straight dialog because that gets really confusing with more than two voices. But then 5.03 happened and rather than wadding this up and pitching it, I decided to post it anyway. Color ( Read more... )

A pub crawl would have made more sense than the visit to the whorehouse. Ya know? It's one of those things that probably made everybody go, "Oh HELL yes!" in the writers' room but didn't hit the mark onscreen. Cas shows up in that empty house Dean's squatting in, and all of a sudden, it's off to the cathouse. Kinda, going from 0 to 60 in 1.4 seconds. So yours is better. *nods*

Yes. Also though I think it's another sign of how deeply screwed up Dean is by this. Dean has used sex and sexuality as a kind of defense/coping mechanism before. Going straight for the cathouse ensured that there wouldn't be any conversations about Dean's state of mind or relationship with Sam, and he had more of a chance to build up that wall of "I'm fine, really I like it better this way" before the conversation in the Impala later.

None of which makes those scenes any easier to watch without facepalming, but whatever.

I like your version way better, the one in the show was just shudder-worthy. *grins at the bible-quoting* Ha!

I apparently under-estimated canon!Dean's capacity for sleaze in his own self-defense. :-P

*grins at the bible-quoting* Ha!

Heh, that's actually not a Bible quote. I searched for an appropriate one but had no luck, so I made one up.

LOL! Well see I wouldn't know...I got stuck on the begat section the month I decided to edu-ma-cate myself in the ways of the Lord. I think I was 14 at the time. :P

It sounds like a euphemism, doesn't it. I know my workplace gets pretty apocalyptic some days.
