Practical can be fun too. I guess.

Well, since I begged asked months ago to have today off (because I thought it would be the day after the SPN finale only it turned out it wasn't *facepalm*), I've been doing unbearably practical things with it like medical appointments and setting up routers and epic cleaning and such ( Read more... )

Those up close flower shots are REALLY pretty. Wish the bmble bee hadn't flown the coop as it were. :)

And the panorama shot is AWESOME. My camera will do panorama (supposedly) but I can't figure out how to make it do it. And of course the "owner's manual" is actuality a cd for the computer that I can no longer find. Boo.

Nice pics, but where's the ones of Chaos? *black kitty grabby hands*

She was fast! By the time I got aimed, she'd moved along.

There's supposed to be a panorama setting on this camera and I think I've used it before, but I couldn't find it today, so I just did the old-fashioned way and took the two shots into my graphic program and stitched them together manually. I cloned out most of the artifact line, but there's still a little twinning showing I couldn't get rid of without things looking weird. :-P

I'll go see if he's feeling photogenic. Hang on.

WOW on the panorma shot. I couldn't tell AT ALL that you had manipped it together. That is really cool. I also meant to say, "the moutains in the background are beautiful and I like the colorful overturned boats."

Thanks :-) It's been a long time since I last did that, so it could have gone much worse.

It's a pretty region, and it's nice to get a chance to look around at it once in a while. I've been most of the way up at least two of those mountains at some point; the one at the extreme right of the panorama might be Forbidden Plateau.

Not so much pose as stand still for two seconds. And stick his tongue out.

Guh. So beautiful.

Harbour! Large amount of water! Green grass!

I love my mountain, but I miss living close to the sea. And to live somewhere that's not in drought, where grass is green ...

I thought you were down near a bay there for some reason. It is a pretty area of the world here, when one gets a chance to look at it.

Melbourne, the big city, is on Port Phillip Bay, but I'm about an hour north of that. I grew up in a bayside suburb, where I spent lots of time walking along the beach, and I still really miss having the sea within walking distance.

Yeah, that's a bit of a long walk to get to the ocean.
