Was all ready to invite you to come clean my kitchen till you got to the cooking part. I think I'll clean up my kitchen by myself. Glad your smoke alarm works! LOL! please write fic next time.

I know! Fic would have been cleaner (probably), but it was one of those things where you get the urge to do something and can't concentrate on anything else til you do it. Gah.

is it mean to say that reading this made me laugh like a hyena? because it totally did and I'm feeling kinda guilty about that :D

My day has been laughable. No feeling guilty needed.

+ tin foil cookie sheets = total life saver!

Totally. Which is why the two inches of tinfoil left on the roll was so irksome.

(hoping you got some writing done at least.... :) *hugs*)

Apparently I did, but it's NCIS (????) for that Gen Battle thing. I have no idea.

The difference between "bake" and "broil" is huge, I tell you. Huge.

Heeey! Sounds like my kinda cooking! :D I've had some fairly epic food-related fails myself, and my most topical one was trying to make a romantic dinner for Valentine's Day last year. Candles = romantic when they're NOT lit directly under the smoke alarm. *winces at the memory*

I keep telling myself that it's just that every place I've lived has a super sensitive smoke alarm, but no.

Eeek. Yeah. Open flames and smoke alarms don't get along well. I only light a candle once a year (winter solstice) and am so frigging paranoid about snuffing all sources of flame smokelessly. Last thing anyone needs in the building is fire alarms going off after midnight. :-)
