I really have no appropriate icon for MBV3D, I'm using this one because they look a bit like nosy theatre ushers...

Again, spoilers. And loads of blithering. )

If any fights it's way through the massive herd in the plot-bunny corral. The damn things are killing me slowly.

Have you read dodger_winslow's post about MBV?

Not yet, but I will track it down later.

*giggles*

Why are you trying to supress the giggles? They are considered a compliment of sorts for the gore-fests.

In the Friday the 13th series, they would actually PAUSE to allow for laughter. Most people vote for "the sleeping bag" as the best kill and it's one of the least bloody. Jason grabs a camper in a bright friendly yellow sleeping bag. He doesn't even bother trying to stab her through it. He just kinda... swings it like a baseball bat. *THWACK* against the tree. And the screaming is all "AH! AHAAHAHAHAHAHAAH! *thunk* *silence*

It's hilarious.

I went to see MBV on opening night with a packed house. There was laughing and clapping for the eyeball, the pickaxe getting stuck in old sherrif's jaw... the shotgun pointed at the audience, etc.

Anyway - LET YOUR GIGGLE FREE!!!! It shouldn't insult any fans in the audience.

Well... there was kind of some shifting and muttering from the few people in the theatre sat back by us, but that might have just been my self conciousness overthinking.

Please, don't ever shut up because I find your reviews/recaps/metas fascinting, scintillating, clever and witty. And I think they make me a little smarter. (I hope! LOL) Have I told you lately that you rock? Well, you do. :)

I'm rather oddly thrilled that even when he's wearing full mining cover-alls a helmet and a gas mask, I can still recognize Jensen Ackles.
I'm impressed, 'cause I was left wondering, from a technical point of view, if they actually made JA play those parts, or if they got someone of a similar build to do it, for the sake of timing and stuff. (I suspect I'm going to rewatch it today, though, with the director's commentary, so I'll watch for this sort of thing. See also, "Eilonwy: huge dork.")

and the breakdown and takeover by Harry at the end was just exquisite.
This is true, and something that I ought to have mentioned in my (um, tipsy) commentary last night.

Or there's a revelation that it was a possession (or deep-dwelling mine spirit thingy or something) and not a dissociative psychotic thing.
Yes, this. This? I'd be so happy about. Uh, so to speak.

particularly the not hitting the panic button first thing in the store office, Yes, this moment. Yeah, you can handwave it away because you're right, in a panic people are dumb ( ... )

I've heard since that there was a stnt guy in the sut for large parts, but if so, tey got a very close match for Jensen.

since seeing the movie (approximately 12 hours ago) it's actually grown on me.

I know! It's weird like that! It's unfortunate that your viewing was missing the 3D because that was truly worth the price of admission, just for the incidental 3D. Gonna be a while til I can buy a copy, but I think I have a free rental somewhere, I may have to rent it to see the extras and the commentary.
