Poll: My Bloody Valentine 3D

Jan 09, 2009 18:54

I was unexpectedly overtaken by a bout of glee over "My Bloody Valentine 3D" at work today. It was very unexpected since I'm not into slasher films and had been kind of neutral except for the "Oh cool, Jensen's in a movie that might actually make it to my hometown theatre and video store" factor. However, today I am suffused with glee so here, have ( Read more... )

As alot of your commenters, I also am not a fan of gore. Which really, how ironic being an obsessed fan of SPN and not liking gore. Anyway, I'm trying to find a thetre that will play it in 3d by me. It is proving difficult. Is an IMAX thetre guaranteed to play 3d? Cause then the closest one I have is 34 miles away. And I'll go to it. I swear I will!

And apparently I can't spell THEATER for the freaking life of me. *rolls eyes*

That's my fault, I've been spelling it in Canadian (theatre) and got you mixed up.

*L* I actually see it in my head as theatre also, but that "a" just up and ran off there.

So, I saw a trailer for this when J and Wombat and I went to see The Spirit(which is brilliant). I agree that the 3d technology is astounding, and I am considering going by myself just because, well, it is Jensen and I am a hopeless nutter..lol I clapped my hands in glee when I saw the trailer *cough*. I have been watching horror since I was a kid--gore and all, and while I am not a huge fan of the gore genre, it will be worth it just for the obvious reasons. I never though of the other aspects of 3D and Jensen *huge innocent eyes*. Actually, I hadn't..but I am sure the gutter in my brain would have caught up eventually..lol So after all this rambling--I may see it just to squee by myself in a darkened theatre--I will try to control the laughter and flailing but sitting farrr in the back:P

It's showed up on TV a few times and I've flailed every time. Especially when it's on channels other than CW.

Yeah, that's about the size of it for me too. It'll be the first movie of this type I've seen in a theatre, I think. And by 'this type' I don't mean 3D. :-)

No, I understand, I wouldn't go out of my way to see a slasher any other time myself. I don't even watch them on pay per view or whatever later, normally. But yes, I think I am committed too--in more ways than one:P Here's hoping you get some hermit time this weekend;)

I'm either making my big sister go with me, or my two cousins who don't get scared at ANYTHING. They were watching Alien at three years old, so this movie shouldn't bother them.

I'll be going alone, I think. But sitting at the back with my back to a wall.

No, and unless the local theatre smartens up and gets it in, or I get a day off and find some cash for the road trip to see it in another town, I probably won't get to see it in the theatre at all. :-/ It's very frustrating.

I was ambivalent about it for the longest time, but something just tipped me over into "hell yeah I'm going!" territory yesterday. Not having the capacity to pause the movie will suck, but I don't think it'll mess with my head too much. But we'll see! :-D
