euclidean n-space and beyond

I love math. I know most of you know this, but I just have to write about it. Right now I'm in a class called Topology, which is a fancy word for a certain type of geometry, and it explains why calculus works from a geometric point of view. It rocks. I am sincerely convinced that the higher up I get in math, the worse I get at arithmetic. I have to keep sharp on my geometry thanks to my job, though, which is good.

I have heard that from other people as well. My philosophy professor (you would absolutely love her...she specializes in philosophy for children/math/eastern stuff) loves to go on and on about how pretty math is. It makes me smile and think of you. I find myself agreeing that math is indeed, quite pretty, but I stand firm in my belief that math can continue to be beautiful at a good distance from me. I probably corrode it or something.
