I haven't been around because of a lot of drama, including, but not limited to:
- moving my brother to Colorado for grad school
- becoming depressed because he no longer acknowledges my existence now that I've spent thousands of dollars on him and set up his apartment
- fandom friends dumping me because I don't watch Teen Wolf
- real life friends I

The flist friends thing. It happens sometimes, suck though it might.
The RL friends thing? Well, the best thing I can say about those scunners is that now you have a little more space in your schedule for nice people with actual feelings and actual intelligence OMG! Sheesh. I mean, I like Teen Wolf as much as the next fan, but that's freaking ridiculous.
And as for your brother. I've heard of him before. It's extremely nice of you to be so good to him, but considering it sounds like he's a total jerk with a sense of entitlement you could probably ski down, I suggest that you consider doing what I do with my entitled jerk relatives, of whom I have many, and detach from him. I'm polite, I'm civil, but I'm not spending any more time, money or energy on them when they don't appreciate it, they don't reciprocate, and they don't really care if I live or die. It sounds like a harsh attitude, but in my opinion it's only self-preservation.
Welcome back!

Yeah, it sucks, and I think it's ridiculous. I don't usually make friends with people who are so shallow they'd stop talking to someone because they don't watch the same show. It's not like all I do is sit around posting about how much I hate it. I don't post at all, LOL.
It's worse with the RL friends, definitely, because I've known them so long. I have friends who don't watch Doctor Who or Sherlock. I have friends who think the Avengers was stupid. I haven't stopped being their friend. I just talk about our common interests instead of constantly babbling about something I know they aren't into. I guess it's too much to expect the same.
That's... what I'm going to have to do. I can't keep bending over backward for him, and when he expresses absolutely no interest in what's going on, why should I be interested in him? :(
Thanks! *hugs*

And openly bemused by the teen wolf thing. I like the show, but I would never forsake someone over it. (I do not forsake you, caffieneisgod!) Fandom overlap is always a plus, but it certainly isn't a requirement for friendship and anyone who says differently is incorrect. Incorrect.
I don't even know what to say about your brother. But I am thinking mean thoughts in his general direction.
