Interesting parallel in this fic between Kurogane and Fai, how Kurogane rescues Fai, that mirrors their relationship and forshadows how the ninja ultimately rescues Fai later on in the manga. Kurogane redeems Fai, but this time, with help. I like the touch of R!Fai helping Kurogane in finding the mage. That fog thing was really creepy. Was it death? Or was it a one-way vehicle of transport to somewhere else? Or both, maybe?

Yay, virtual cookies! :P Thank you, I'm glad you liked the fic. The actual destination within the fog I left sort of ambiguous on purpose...I think where it leads depends on the person who goes into it, and at the point in the series this fic is set in, Fai isn't exactly at his most mentally stable, so it was definitely taking him somewhere...not good.

Incredibly well done. It's very confusing and mysterious, in a classy way.

Every touch goes perfect, from their awkward and tense conversations, Sakura's tentative smiles, Syaoran's resolve to help tainted with regrets.

The voices of the missing and the dead (that's my impression) sound so powerful and enticing, and in the middle of it, the other twin still trying to help his brother. It's very thoughtful, and I wonder if later Fai will have the presence of mind to remember there was one voice, among the others, that was trying to steer him away from the shore.

Fai and Kurogane's interaction is raw and painful, and that is a very good perspective of how they behaved after Tokyo. I'd think this is canon, another world visited before Infinity, perhaps.

Thank you very much for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed it :) I like to think that sometime in between Celes and Nihon, when Fai's waiting for Kurogane to wake up and thinking to himself, he remembers that other voice and realizes who it was, as a nice comfort.
