KARA/LEE (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA)

Okay, so their relationship got a little melodramatic at times with the deadly love triangle/square playing a role (perhaps a reason why I don't really like love triangles/squares as a plot device/whathaveyou these days unless utilised veryveryvery well), but I was pretty much rooting for this two crazy kids since I started watching, even things seriously went into the deep end and it seemed that there was no way they would even end up together (*sighs* I'm a shipper like that). They have one of the most complex relationships I've ever seen, if only because they've brought so much baggage to the table from their respective lives but also, as the series finale sledgehammered home (breaking my shipper heart at the same time), their time has never been great (reminiscent more recently to The Good Wife's Alicia/Will). For whatever reason, despite of their feelings for each other, they've just never been on the same page together. Every time it seemed like they were on the same page, somehow something comes along or one or the other makes a hasty decision and they're back at the beginning again.

But it seems that their relationship has gone through so many different phases--friends, almost-in-laws, lovers, allies, enemies, adultery (I couldn't think of another word to go there but that describes the latter end of series 3 quite well)--that perhaps there was no need to have them in that romantic relationship. They would also share a connection no matter what happened, no matter what choices either of them makes and no matter who they were with. Their chemistry was also fantastic to watch on-screen especially as Kara and Lee have different personalities and approaches to any situation. Their chemistry and relationship is also a testament to Katee Sackhoff and Jamie Bamber's chemistry and acting. While it initially killed me that we never got proper closure between the two of them, in retrospect it was bittersweet.
