iirc the traditional defence to libel is to say that the statement is true.

I'm not sure how you can prove or disprove the statement that he has found so offensive.

Herbert Smith are very expensive lawyers indeed.

Lets hope he seems even more of a twerp for even noticing such a comment.

Certainly not going to look any smarter as a result, is he? He's going to have a job proving that to be libellous, I would've thought, in an open and fair court if there is such a thing and it comes to it.

Moreover, even if he does win the case, he's not going to get much from an individual journalist.
