Note: I am so sorry that I just dropped off the face of the online earth for the last couple of months. It’s been crazy at work, and I haven’t logged in to LJ at all in all that time. If anyone is still interested in this story, here’s the next part. Since it’s been so long, here’s a recap from Part 26:

Yay, I have missed this series! I love Jim's realization in the beginning of the chapter, and that he finally turned to Chris for help. I also like how perceptive Joanna is.

One of my fairly constant frustrations in Trek fandom is the absence of mental health as a valuable tool. I have enjoyed this series for a lot of reasons, and Jim actually working consciously on mental health issues is a big deal part of that!

Hi again! I've missed you too, and I'm so glad you can still enjoy this story even though I made you wait for so long. Things should be quicker now...I was able to hire an assistant so work shouldn't eat up so much of my life outside of the hours of M-F, 9-5.

I'm glad you liked how open Bones was to Jim...I was a little worried that might be a bit OOC.

Thank you!

I'm glad you're updating again. I don't think I've ever commented, but I've been following since the early parts of The Basics of Primary Education and I was wondering, quite recently, if you were going to come back to this. :)

Life happens. Don't feel bad about taking care of what you needed to.

Hi there! Thank you for reading and taking the time to comment. I'm glad you like the mental health aspect of this story. It's a bit of a struggle for me as I have no background in it at all, but I felt it had to be an integral part of their relationship in order to make the stories work.

Things should be better at work now, so I should be able to get back to my more regular posting schedule.

In any case, thanks for sticking with me!

So glad you're back. I hope all is well. I've missed you and this lovely story.

You've moved Jim along in his phobia, so I assume the surgery is coming up next. Sweet Halloween scene. Enjoyed it very much.

Hi! I'm so glad I'm back too! Everything is ok...just ridiculously busy. Things are calming down a bit so it should be easier for me to start posting more regularly again.

I'm glad you liked what I wrote in this part! I'll get the next part up as soon as I can.
