this is awesome. this is everything i was thinking when i was reading about the 'horrible attack' at the premier's office.
i saw a profile on kim capri in the newspaper. she struck me as a professional volunteer. which says to me that she was somehow able and wealthy enough to waive her very own minimum wage job in order to pursue higher ideals. she said in the interview that she had no idea what was going on when she was running for office. she kind of reminded me of candidates on the CFS endorsed slates...
runs magpie books, publishes the east van newspaper, writes opinions pieces for the courier regularly, ran as an independent in the last municipal election for mayor, and was recently dragged through the mud as a green party candidate (he was dropped from the party) for talking about his emotional reaction being intially "well they deserved it" when the twin towers fell. The media had a field day with the 911 stuff. so now, he's got nothing to lose, so he might as well speak out.
