i hadn't heard of the case, though i just read a brief article about it as you made me curious.

but i can't help thinking - is it really a bad thing for the media to show some restraint until he's convicted? too many people have had their lives seriously damaged because they are accused of crimes and made guilty in the public eye, only to be found not guilty. this case sounds like an exception, but i really wouldn't mind seeing a more responsible attitude in the media in general.

but then, i have to encounter the british media, which doesn't believe in objectivity.
