I was planning to apply for special awards in graduation for cultural development. I regularly check the DLSU website regarding this but I did not see the application period (Week 5 to Week 8). I even e-mailed Sir Voc, the Dean of Student Affairs to appeal for extension. This morning, I received his reply stating that the complete application period is stated in the university's website and he cannot do anything to extend the deadline. I feel really broken and empty today upon reading Sir Voc's e-mail. I cannot surpass the success that I had in high school. I was hoping for Honorable Mention, Cultural Development Award and Most Outstanding Thesis awards for my upcoming graduation. I guess that I missed my chance for that special award. It's been a long time since I last felt the feeling of failure and emptiness.
