New 'author' friend just checking in with best wishes for exams, move, etc.
Off to Germany for a week tomorrow so won't be around for a while...

Welcome, and thank you for the good wishes! :)
You wouldn't happen to visit Leipzig during your trip to Germany, would you? If so, I can recommend the "Café Riquet" for some of the most awesome cake this city has to offer. Have a nice trip, and hopefully better luck with the weather than we had last week! :)

Aachen and Munster this trip - plus Koln but only the airport and main station this time... It is apparently snowing there too.

Sounds nice! Hope you have (had) a nice trip. :) And the weather should get slightly better right now. Still cool, but sunny!
See you when you get back!

*smooches* It's alright. You're helping to connect me with life outside studying by making those muffled rustling sounds under my desk. ;)

Listen schreiben und sauber machen helfen beim Nachdenken. Ganz bestimmt!

Hoffe, Dir geht's derweil gut! :)

hi there! rum_inspector March 30 2008, 15:32:40 UTC
1) studies... why can't there be a handsome study muse...
2) That's how I felt with LJ strike. Here I am again.
3) Sisters are the best :D
4) Moving... I still haven't got myself decent furniture cause I know I'll be moving again and they'll be pain to carry
4) And I have to ask... what software makes entire folders from BMP to JPG? Because I'm an awful image freak and I must have all the eight Hornblower episodes in screenshots (just to mention a few) I would love to find one.

1) Yes please. I'd be all for it!
2) It's an addiction. And until I find a replacement drug, I'm afraid I'm stuck here... ;)
3) They are. Not that I can say anything about brothers - no personal experience, I'm afraid. *g*
4) Well, I'm lucky, I found a furnished apartment and will only have to somehow get rid of two shelves and a small couch when I leave here. Besides, you don't need that much furniture. A decent desk, and a good bed is all that is really important...
5) I don't know what other programs do that conversion thingy, but I use Ulead PhotoImpact 8. You don't even have to open the pics, just pick the folder and say "save all to folder as..." and select *.jpg. Then you go and have a cup of tea while the PC turns 1000+ BMPs into JPGs. *g* That's all.
Nothing fancy, and very useful.
A quick online search turns up ReaJPEG or the Amber Image Converter, to name just a few. There seem to be quite a few free converting softwares out there. Maybe you should just look around and try one?
